Beat the Winter Blues

Light on the brain influences our mood.

PREVENT THE WINTER BLUES

  • Choose how you respond
  • Set more realistic goals
  • Do light exercise regularly
  • Eat smaller, warming meals
  • Get outside at lunchtime (important to get light on the retina of the eye)

KEEP THAT POSITIVE FEELING

  • Change negative thoughts to positive
  • Write positive affirmations
  • Get other people's support
  • Prepare the night before - remember when we rush we drain our energy and feel overwhelmed.
  • Elect to be your own best friend
