SLEEP - THE SILENT HEALER

Most People Are Exhausted. Fatigue is epidemic. If you need stimulants in the morning to get going, you're not getting enough sleep.

ALL HEALING REQUIRES EXTRA SLEEP

During the day, one primarily uses the sympathetic nervous system, associated with spending energy and tearing down the body. This is balanced by the parasympathetic system, associated with rest, nurturing and regeneration of body tissues. This is equally important and takes place when one is resting. One may call it maintenance or repair time.

WHY YOU WAKE UP AT THE SAME TIME EVERY NIGHT

Have you ever wondered why you always seem to wake up during the night at particular times?

And it’s not just an odd night here and there. After a while you begin to realise you’re waking up again and again, the nights of sleeping through a distant memory. You start to look at the clock and find it’s always at the same time – 2:55am or between certain hours like 4am to 5am. You’re not drinking coffee late in the afternoon, you’ve cut down on your much loved sugars and you’re fairly active during the day (incidentally if you are drinking coffee all afternoon and you’re dipping into refined sugars, consider stopping and then see how you sleep!

BOWEN THERAPY AND SURGERY

Bowen has also proved its worth both before and after surgery. Many people have confirmed this after making remarkable recoveries following their operations.

Cardiac patients who have received Bowen Therapy prior to open-heart surgery have both surgeons and anaesthetists amazed at the improvement it made to their procedures during surgery. There was less blood loss, less medication/pain-killers required, consciousness was regained more rapidly and the stay in intensive care was shorter.
